Emma and Nigel’s wedding at Waterton Park Hotel was a day full of laughs, love, and laid-back fun!

Wakefield is in easy reach for me as a wedding photographer and having photographed Waterton Park dozens of times over my wedding photography career it was great to be back here again. I couldn’t wait to capture their relaxed and fun-filled celebration.

The ceremony was late in the afternoon and Emma’s bridal preparations didn’t start until after lunch but they are always a fun part of the day. Emma was super chilled. surrounded by friends and family who kept the atmosphere lively. Her dress was gorgeous yet understated, perfectly matching the relaxed feel of their day.

Before we knew it, it was ceremony time at Walton Hall. Emma walked down the aisle to huge smiles. Nigel’s reaction was priceless, clearly thrilled and very emotional to see his bride approaching. Their vows were sincere, bringing smiles and even a few happy tears from the crowd.

Stepping outside for group shots, canopies and a confetti shots over the bridge was next and It’s moments like these that make wedding photography genuinely rewarding.

For the couple’s portraits, we explored Waterton Park’s beautiful grounds. Emma and Nigel were naturally comfortable, sharing easy laughs and genuine moments without feeling posed. Their chemistry made capturing the bridal shots effortless and just at the right moment the sun shone through the trees.

The drinks reception was a lively gathering, filled with laughter and conversation. Guests mingled happily, clearly enjoying the relaxed setting.

When it came to their first dance, Emma and Nigel kept it sweet and simple. Guests soon joined in, filling the dance floor and keeping the energy high. Music and laughter echoed throughout Walton Hall, perfectly capturing the celebratory spirit.

As the day wound down, we stepped out for some quick twilight shots. The soft evening light created a beautiful, romantic atmosphere, providing a lovely close to their wedding day.
